What we believe

The work starts with what we believe.

Anvil Rise exists to help churches clear the digital path for people seeking Jesus. Because we help churches communicate their beliefs and ministry publicly, it matters that our work begins on shared ground.

Jesus

Jesus is the center, not a footnote.

Our faith isn’t a branding angle added to the work. It’s the foundation beneath the mission, the partnerships we pursue, and the way we treat people.

The convictions we build from.

01

Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. It is the final standard for faith, belief, and life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 | 2 Peter 1:20-21
02

God

We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, loving, just, sovereign, and worthy of worship.

Deuteronomy 6:4 | Matthew 28:19
03

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return.

John 1:1-14 | 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
04

The gospel and salvation

We believe salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We are reconciled to God through His finished work, not our own merit.

Ephesians 2:8-9 | Romans 10:9-10
05

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit gives new life, dwells within believers, produces spiritual fruit, gives gifts, and empowers the church to bear witness to Jesus.

John 14:16-17 | Galatians 5:22-23
06

People and human dignity

We believe every person is made in the image of God and should be treated with dignity, honesty, patience, and compassion.

Genesis 1:27 | James 3:9
07

Marriage, sexuality, and God’s design

We believe God created humanity male and female and designed marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman. We believe sexual intimacy belongs within that covenant. We hold these convictions as part of our submission to Scripture, while treating every person with dignity, patience, honesty, and compassion.

Genesis 1:27 | Genesis 2:24 | Matthew 19:4-6 | 1 Corinthians 6:18-20
08

The local church

We believe the local church is the gathered body of Christ, called to worship God, make disciples, care for people, practice the ordinances, and proclaim the gospel.

Matthew 28:18-20 | Acts 2:42-47

Truth and love are not enemies.

We won’t hide what we believe, and we won’t use those beliefs as permission to treat people carelessly. Every person bears God’s image and deserves honesty, patience, and respect.

When a church isn’t a theological fit, we’ll decline the partnership privately and respectfully. There’s no need for public condemnation or a debate disguised as a sales conversation.

Agreement on secondary matters isn’t required.

Faithful churches can differ on church government, baptism, spiritual gifts, worship expression, and other secondary matters. Meaningful alignment on the gospel and the foundational convictions above is what protects the integrity of the work.

Questions about faith and fit.

Is Anvil Rise affiliated with a denomination?

No. Anvil Rise is not operated by a denomination.

Does a church have to match every secondary belief?

No. The statement distinguishes foundational convictions from secondary differences.

Why make these beliefs public?

The work helps churches communicate their public ministry. Clarity early protects integrity on both sides.

What happens if our church isn’t a theological fit?

We’ll communicate that privately and respectfully, without public criticism or ambiguity about our convictions.

Is this statement meant to replace a church’s own beliefs?

No. It explains the foundation Anvil Rise works from. Every church should maintain its own complete statement of faith.
